Governor Josh Stein recently vetoed 14 very bad bills that passed the NCGA; now it’s their turn to muster the votes for possible veto overrides. What does this mean for North Carolina?
— State law enforcement would be required to support ICE operations across the state.
— Anyone 18 or older could carry concealed handguns in public — without a permit, without proper training.
— All programs and policies that strive for diversity, equity, and inclusion would be eliminated from all state and local government agencies, all K-12 public schools, and the entire public university system.
–Transgender individuals will continue to be scapegoated simply for existing.
